Ended up doing this run backwards int he sense that i did the MGP (which is a pretty random number at this stafe as I don't really have any time aspirations) at the start.  I hasn't' turned on autolap so wasn't sure how fast i was running.  When I got to 8 miles at almost exactly 1 hour...I realized that I need to back off the pace for the last 6 miles so as not to dead my legs.  Overall a good run, but I am struggling on the hills...which isn't good given that I am doing Austin hehe.

That was mighty tough.  Not enough training, heat (well at least slightly warmed than you'd like), hills and humidity  are a brutal combination over the marathon distance.  Given these factors i decided to go out easy.  I ran the first half near the 3:30 pace group, but sooner after half way I started to feel very hot and my heart rate was very high so I started walking through water stops to get lot of fluids on board.  However, even then I started to get tight and the last few miles was about mind over body...but I made it, and in one piece.  This is large part due to some amazing support on the course from Gazelles, friends...and most of for my friend Tom who ran with me from mile 9 all the way to the finish. Glad its over...but what next...

I'd normally bill this as a recovery run, but I didn't run on Sunday.  Felt pretty good apart from last 2 miles when legs started to get tired.
