| Perfect weather for a race...well maybe a touch cool, but far far better than last year. I felt great in the first couple of miles, but when I tried to consolidate I was unable to create any real turnover speed. All I could do was maintain the effort. I gave it everything, but it wasn't there today.

| Speed workout at the track with the group. 1 x 2000, 3 x 1000 & 4 x 400s. Felt good, but we actually stuck to the game plan, i.e. 2000 @ MGP,, 1000s at HMGB and 400s at 5K pace...with the last one a bit of a gut buster.
Splits were:
2,000 - 9:05
1,000s - 4:21, 4:16, 4:04
400s - 1:32, 1:32, 1:31 & 1:14
Then it was time to stagger back to the gym.

| This felt truly awful. I wanted to quit about 1 1/2 miles in, but told myself I had to grind it out no matter how slow I ran or how much it hurt. Well it was very very very slow...but I gutted it out.
